Australian top minister meets the Queen – and tells her she was once a ‘hit’ on the Cornwall G7 summit


Australia’s top minister Scott Morrison instructed the Queen she was once “rather the hit” on the G7 summit, because the pair met at Windsor Fortress.

The Queen held a unprecedented face-to-face target audience, assembly Mr Morrison on Tuesday.

Her Majesty, who may be the monarch of Australia, was once photographed speaking to the top minister, status along with her arms in the back of her again in a colourful yellow floral get dressed.

The Queen met leaders on the G7 summit ultimate week in Cornwall and Mr Morrison remarked: “You had been rather the hit. Everybody was once speaking about you at dinner the following night time.”

“Oh lord. Have been they truly?” she spoke back.

Mr Morrison added: “They had been. They had been delighted to peer you.”

She instructed Mr Morrison that it was once “really nice to peer you – in particular person this time”.

The monarch later watched the racing at Royal Ascot after the five-day meet started on Tuesday – with a selected hobby in her horse King’s Lynn, within the 15.40 King’s Stand Stakes.

The Queen’s racing supervisor John Warren mentioned the monarch, a willing horse breeder, is hoping to wait the Berkshire racecourse later within the week.

Closing week, the monarch travelled to Cornwall to host an open-air reception on the Eden Mission for the G7 summit, attended a mini Trooping for her legitimate 95th birthday, and welcomed US president Joe Biden to tea at Windsor Fortress.
